A compelling crime thriller…
“This book takes the reader on one wild ride, with the suspense not letting up until the very end. Mac is one part Lucas Davenport and one part Mitch Rapp – and it just does not get any better than that!” – Amazon reviewer
Two girls gone… Shannon hustled to her car and dug into her black purse, searching for her car keys, “Where the heck did they go?” He quickly put his hand over her mouth as she screamed and thrashed, slid the van door open, and dragged her inside… She tried to scream through the duct tape pasted over her mouth. It was only the beginning.
One detective under pressure… The ruggedly handsome Mac McRyan, a fourth-generation cop, is faced with a complicated brazen daytime kidnapping, a media storm surrounding the case, and political scrutiny. An abduction is just the beginning in a case of betrayal and revenge that will ultimately strike at the heart and soul of the St. Paul Police Department.
And no time left. From the searing streets of St. Paul to the murky waters and beaches of the St. Croix River, DEADLY STILLWATER is a book you won’t be able to put down until its last gripping minute.
I’m not usually a reader that wants to keep reading until….But this book had me wanting more and more and I didn’t want to stop to sleep! A very well-woven intricate story involving quite a few important characters. I actually made a list of the characters to keep the story straight in my mind! Loved the book! Excellent read! – Joycie H

The mayor also wants the FBI called. The FBI lead person who is successful in finding kidnapped people is called to help. As these man look for clues to find the girls. Mac and his team are slowly under covering the plan behind the kidnapping. The story is a fast pace never a dull moment in the book. I love Mac and his team. I like the way the team works together and the teasing the team do with each other. When I started this book I didn’t know it was the second back after I read this I went and purchase the first book. I am going to read this entire series. – Kim Sowards
I love a good mystery/thriller….especially if the price is right. That combo doesn’t come along just any day, but this is the exception. This book was tightly written, with well developed characters, reasonably decent police procedures and (the cherry on top) was set in my favorite Minnesota area. Having friends in the Stillwater area and having camped on the St. Croix River, made it a book I read in less than 24 hours and really enjoyed. Although I pegged the main “bad guys” fairly early on, it didn’t spoil the suspense. I don’t think it matters that this isn’t the first book in the series, but now I will have to read more. – Waggs
