He’s a doctor…but can you trust him?
With his marriage collapsing and grief-stricken following the death of his baby son, surgeon Dan Lewis is struggling to make sense of it all.
His work is his lifeline. But when he fixates on a child patient he thinks has a potentially lethal disease, no one believes the diagnosis. They all think he’s losing his mind.
When one of Dan’s critics is senselessly murdered and the evidence points to the damaged doctor as the prime suspect, his bad situation becomes desperate.
But there’s a dark secret linking the ill child and the murder victim. One that no one other than Dan can see.
Can he overcome his paralyzing despair to reveal the truth and clear himself?
And if he does, will he be in time to save an innocent child from a terrifying fate?
The Appointment is a tense and utterly compelling psychological thriller which will have you gripped from page 1. If you are a fan of authors like Mark Edwards, John Marrs and Lisa Stone, you’ll love this heart-pounding thriller.
The author grabbed me immediately and I could not put this down. So many secrets and twists that the main character had to work through while fighting his own demons surviving his own grief of losing a child. Nothing and no one is as it seems. I could not put this down weaving through what was real and what was not. Do not assume anything when reading this. A great read. I could not put this down. This was a first read for me with this author and it will not be the last. – Flgirl
Absolutely loved this. Very tense at times as it’s written in a style whereby the next step can’t be predicted. A book you don’t want to put down as you want to know the next stage. – Anita & Paul
What a thriller this is!!!!! Dan is an eye specialist, is happily married and has a beautiful little boy. His son tragically dies and he is devastated but he tries to get on with life the best he can. A little boy is referred to him with a problem with his eye, Dan thinks it’s a potentially serious disease but the boy’s mother and father won’t listen and avoid bringing him back …… WHY!!!!! This is when the story really kicks off. Twists, turns it has it all. A brilliant story. – Audrey Gibson
