It starts with basic information and takes you through safety procedures, the different soap making processes, the effects of different oils, and additives. She includes saponification charts, recipes, project ideas and source information. She gives a complete picture of what is involved to start a business and ideas to keep it successful. She also gives information on store brands, possible allergens and equipment needed. This may be the only soap making book you will need. I am a huge DIYer, but I never quite ventured into making soap. I wasn’t really sure where to start, and I’m so glad I took the time to read this book! It’s very informative and covers a broad variety of topics when it comes to soap making. Not only does it have some soap making recipes, it also gives you the science behind it as well as marketing strategies if you plan on selling soap to people. This book is an amazing starting point for beginners like myself and also has a lot of great information that more experienced soap makers may not have known.
